Iguaçu falls can be explored both on the side brazilian that side argentineeach side offering a unique perspective and complementary. Thus, if you plan to visit this exceptional site, we strongly advise that you devote time to discover the two sides. The ideal is to provide for 2-3 nights in order to visit the two shores where the waterfalls.

However, if you are short on time and still want to explore the falls in a single day, we recommend that you focus on the argentine side. The latter offers several tours that allow you to be closer to the falls, although you will not benefit from the panoramic view offered by the brazilian side.

The visit to the park side brazilian !

After you enter the park, you will be invited to climb aboard a panoramic bus two-storey (included in the ticket price) which will bring you closer to the falls. It will make several stops, corresponding to the starting point of different activities that will speak to you later. However, we recommend that you go down to the second to last stop : « Trilha das Cataratas«  to start your visit hiking trail

After getting off the bus, take the trail that takes you directly in front of the waterfalls. Throughout the walk, several points of view invite you to take a break to admire the view. The ride ends with a catwalk spectacular that brings you closer close waterfalls. Attention, please make sure to make you (a little) splash !

Once your ride is complete, join the main road where you will find small shops and stalls to refresh you. Do this with a bottle of cold water or a delicious caipirinha, now is the perfect time to take a break before resuming the bus in the opposite direction. It will drop you if you want to be one of the proposed activities as described below, or take you back to the exit.

Discovery of the circuits of the Iguazú National Park

  • Circuit below (in yellow on the map)
    This circuit is a loop of 1.4 km of about 1: 30 a.m., offering impressive vantage points below the falls. It takes approximately 2 hours to walk round trip for this route, and between 1 p.m. and 1: 30 p.m. with the train ride.
  • Sendero Macuco (brown on the map)
    After the circuit above, if you still have the energy and time, you can make the hike Sendero Macuco. This trail less frequented, is perfect for those seeking a bit of peace and quiet after the crowds of the park. This little hike of 7 miles round-trip through the rain forest, and you'll surely get the chance to see the release of animals (monkeys, birds...). At the end, a cascade more modest offers a possibility of swimming to cool off, so plan a swimsuit ! We do not see the Iguazu falls from the path. Expect to spend between 1h30 and 2h walk back most of the time that you will remain on-site to take advantage of the nature and waterfall. Its entry is allowed until 15h.
